Chelsea Branch
A roots, rocksteady, reggae and everything in between enthusiast. First gig was to see the Ordinary Boys at the Lemon Grove at 16. After University, she spent seven years in brilliant Bristol, revelling in its dynamic music scene. She now lives in Exeter alongside her partner Bev, embracing Devon country life and swapping sound systems for sea swimming and scriptwriting.
Malaika Kikongo
Malaika is a second-year Journalism with Media student who has always called Devon home. She loves storytelling through her writing and she’s so excited to be a part of sharing June Boom and the people, places, and passions that make Exeter come alive!
Adrian Clark
Adrian is thrilled to be part of June Boom and excited about the variety of events that will be on show around the city. Adrian is particularly passionate about theatre having seen many shows around the world and is looking forward to being part of the team showcasing what Exeter has to offer.
Pippa Marriott
Pippa is a writer, director, facilitator and Advocate of Story. Co-founder of Word Kitchen, she enables writers to develop and share their work, building community and support for people to find their voice and share their stories and perspectives.
Catherine Hurcombe
Moving back to Exeter after completing her degree in Classical Studies and English, Catherine has benefitted from the city’s cultural opportunities - whether it's spending a rainy day in the RAMM, or chatting over books at Exeter City of Literature's activities. She’s excited to get involved with the June Boom campaign to showcase this fantastic range of artistic events.
Ysella Sims
Ysella Sims is a writer, poet and performer whose work explores identity, belonging and our relationship to place. Based in the rural South West, she writes from the edges, exploring connection in the in-between. You can read more of her writing at ysella.substack.com.
